External Blinds

 External aluminium blinds enable fluent regulation of natural lighting and they also catch direct sun rays. The 58 x 56mm head rail is made of rolled steel and it is zinc-coated. The head rail can be covered
with a cover plate. The 80 mm wide slats are made of aluminium and are standardly delivered in 11 colour shades or in RAL colours. The winding mechanisms, fabric ladders and textile tapes are made of good-quality materials resisting weather influences and UV radiation. These external blinds are delivered with guide rails. The 20 x 20 mm aluminium guide rails are standardly delivered in the silver elox colour but at request they can be delivered in RAL colours. The operation is done by a crank or a motor.

The early history of the venetian blind is conjectural. The early Venetians, who were great traders, are thought to have brought the idea of the blind from Persia to Venice. The Venetian slaves, once freed, are then thought to have brought the blind to France for personal comfort and as a means of livelihood. The French name for Venetian blinds is "Les Persienes." In 1761 St. Peter’s Church in Philadelphia was fitted with venetian blinds.
