minimalizes the movement of the slats in the wind. The 40 x 40 mm head rail is of zinc-coated and enamel-painted steel, the same applies to the bottom rail. Both rails are delivered in white and silver. The bearing winder and wheels are made of a high-quality plastic material which ensures smooth and noise-free running. We offer several options of operation - by an endless cord, a crank or a motor.

The early history of the venetian blind is conjectural. The early Venetians, who were great traders, are thought to have brought the idea of the blind from Persia to Venice. The Venetian slaves, once freed, are then thought to have brought the blind to France for personal comfort and as a means of livelihood. The French name for Venetian blinds is "Les Persienes." In 1761 St. Peter’s Church in Philadelphia was fitted with venetian blinds.
