The History Venetian Blind
The early history of the venetian blind is conjectural. The early Venetians, who were great traders, are thought to have brought the idea of the blind from Persia to Venice. The Venetian slaves, once freed, are then thought to have brought the blind to France for personal comfort and as a means of livelihood. The French name for Venetian blinds is "Les Persienes." Insect door screens have become very popular recently. The net is made of plastic-coated glass-fibre which is not subject to corrosion and weathers temperature differences well. It is delivered in grey or
black and it is practically invisible on the window. The 53 x 20mm frame is made of aluminium and it is protected on the surface by baked varnish. It is delivered in white, brown, wood imitation or RAL finish. The frame is in corners connected by inside plastic pieces. Screen doors can be installed using self-closing hinges, a protective crossbar and other accessories.
