Roller Shuters

 The boxes are used for roller shutters or other sun-shading or safety systems. These components are self-supporting building elements 300 mm high and they are delivered in widths of 300, 365..
and 440 mm. The roller shutter is operated by a tape leading out of the box through a bushing and along the window opening into the spring reeler. Another option is the operation using an endless cord and epicyclic gearbox. The roller shutter can also be operated by a tube motor. The aluminium slats filled with PUR foam are colour-fast and they have sufficient thermal and sound insulation properties.

The early history of the venetian blind is conjectural. The early Venetians, who were great traders, are thought to have brought the idea of the blind from Persia to Venice. The Venetian slaves, once freed, are then thought to have brought the blind to France for personal comfort and as a means of livelihood. The French name for Venetian blinds is "Les Persienes." In 1761 St. Peter’s Church in Philadelphia was fitted with venetian blinds.
